A Hieroglyph
There
are two hieroglyphs for the letter "a". They

sail and sale, and names like Amy.

and Bernadette.

basket is used for the hard 'c' sound in words like club and country,
and names like Craig and Claire.

folded cloth is used for the soft 'c' sound in words like nice
and peaceful, and names like Cindy and Cecilia.
