Our Pop Art Portrait of Diana Ross uses a flat black for the shaded areas of the figure in contrast to the colorful patterns of flowers and rainbows in the lighter areas of the image.
In this example of our Pop Art Group Project, the light tones of the singer's skin are rendered in soft warm browns whereas the shaded tones of the figure use a darker range of colors. The background is filled with alternate shades of blue - an appropriate color as the 'Lady Sings the Blues'.
You will find all the instructions in our Pop Art Portrait Lesson Plan.
You can also cut up the template into its 20 squares to use in our Pop Art Group Project. This is a collaborative artwork for up to 20 people where each participant completes an individual section of the image which is then assembled with the others to create a unique work of art.
You will find the instructions for this lesson in our Pop Art Group Project.
These templates are free to copy and print to help you with drawing a Pop Art Portrait.
